SEPTEMBER 2026:
Beginner: Paso Doble Starts Sept 3, 2026 (4 weeks) The Paso Doble is a bold, theatrical Latin dance defined by forceful, rhythmic footwork—incorporating stomps and flamenco-inspired steps to heighten its intensity. Movements are sharp and assured, with dancers holding their chest lifted and their posture proud throughout. At the beginner level, it is an easy and fun dance to learn. Each class builds on previous week. Open to all ages, levels of ability, and genders. No partner required. |
OCTOBER 2026:
Beginner: Cha Cha Starts October 1, 2026 (5 weeks) A classic Latin dance, the Cha Cha is fun and lively. It has a contagious beat that really gets you moving. Although traditionally danced to a latin beat, one can dance a Cha Cha to plenty of today’s pop songs. Each class builds on previous week. Open to all ages, levels of ability, and genders. No partner required. |
Whether you are a beginner or intermediate dancer, we always recommend regular attendance. Intermediate dancers attend beginner classes - there is always something new to learn and experienced dancers help beginners.
Repetition & practice really do make a better dancer.
During the last 15 minutes of class beginners can practice while intermediate dancers "Step-up" to an intermediate move.
Class is very beginner-friendly – most of us felt like we had two (or even three) left feet when we started.
Open to all ages, levels of ability, and genders.
In Equality Dance, both dance partners in the dance couple are of the same gender.
Bring a friend, partner, or come by yourself – no dance partner required.
Face masks optional.

WHEN: Thursday Evenings:
September - May All our classes are for Beginners. 7:00 – 7:45 pm 7:45-8:00 Beginners Practice /Intermediate Step-up New session starts first Thursday of every month (unless otherwise stated). Each class builds on the previous week. Be sure to attend the first class of the month! Pre-registration not needed. Just arrive a little early for week 1. |
COST:
Pay-per-class: $20 per dancer Pay monthly on first class: Receive $10 discount 4-week month: $70 per dancer 3-week month: $50 per dancer 5-week month: $90 per dancer (Exact cash, Venmo or checks only. Checks made out to "Elena Lyashenko".) |
